About us

The house
The Guesthouse has four rooms with 2 bathrooms providing lodging for eight persons with a comfortable living room and
winter and summer kitchens. Three rooms are furnished with traditional local furniture, the forth room has a real strawbed for those who would like to experience the old-fashioned way of sleeping. In the village everything is within walking distance, moreover we also offer bicycles.

Eat what you cook!
A In the huge courtyard there is a small shop where antiquities are sold and homemade jams and other goodies can be tasted as well. Anybody who is interested in the traditional way of preparing preserves, or would like to buy sausages and ham made of special Hungarian-bred pork are welcome.

At the end of the courtyard you will find the teahouse transformed from an old barn where drinking tea made from home-grown herbs and eating home-made spreads will make you feel at home while watching films at sunset, or playing games
kids and adults alike. Of course only if you are not plunging into the thermal bath in Csisztapuszta or exploring the countryside.

Winetasting in our village is another joyful activity, visiting our thatched-roofed 100 year-old cellar of local wines is not to be missed. What else could be more pleasant than cooking together a huge pot of stew to accompany the wine? There are about 60 wine cellars in János Hill.
